We practice top notch good engineering methods that meet both international and local standards with wide experience in project deliverables for oil and gas, marine and telecommunication industries serving clientele in Southeast Asia (SEA), Africa, Guyana, Middle East and more.

Mr. Kamil Yunus – Executive Director

ASIC Offshore & Marine Sdn Bhd was incorporated in the year 2005 as a 100% Bumiputera company. ASIC provides conventional and unique technology, and products in the fields of insitu repairs for floating assets, and onshore, offshore and marine fabrications. ASIC has gained capabilities over the last 15 years in the following trades in order to establish itself as a proficient “one-stop” offshore in situ turnkey repairer — periodical maintenance, repairs as per class requirements, life extension, warranty repairs, major repairs and upgrades.

ASIC’s mission is to help its customers reduce the cost of asset ownership by providing innovative solutions to the offshore and marine industry with a priority focus on safety and quality services.

Ms. Farina Khalil, Commercial Director

She graduated from Multimedia University with a degree in (BBA) Banking & Finance and began her career with Deutsche Bank in 2008 as a Global Market (Treasury) Operation executive. Then, she started her engineering career and joined Sime Darby Berhad under the Energy division in 2010 as a Business Development Executive. She worked closely with the management team to drive the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and Interior Design (ID) Contracting business revenue and profit. In 2012, she joined Tyco Fire & Security (now known as Johnson Controls) to lead the Fire Solutions business for the Navy, Marine, Offshore and Oil & Gas vertical market for the Malaysia region. In 2018, she joined Honeywell International under Building Services focusing on Smart Building and Building Management System business. She returned to Fire Industry again in 2019, working for Dwisolar Sdn Bhd and she was responsible for the company sales, strategic planning and business development before her appointment as the CEO for Dwisolar M&E Sdn Bhd. Farina is now the Director of ASIC Offshore & Marine Sdn Bhd and is currently responsible for the strategic and day-to-day revenue performance and marketing direction of the company.

ASIC is a multinational company (MNC) that provides conventional and unique technology and solutions in the fields of new build and in-situ repairs in the marine, offshore, and oil & gas industries for over decades. The company has progressed throughout the years embracing the core expertise in design & engineering, shipbuilding, maintenance, and repairs focusing in South East Asia (SEA), South America, Middle East and Africa regions. As a testament of the company’s commitment to quality, ASIC has been accredited with ISO certifications and have also received several appreciations from plant owners, shipyard operators as well as vessel owners.

In 2022, ASIC Offshore & Marine Sdn Bhd expanded their business by establishing PT ASIC Energi Nusantara to drive strategic initiatives for long-term economic development in Indonesia whilst pledging to demonstrate transfer of knowledge and technologies to promote Malaysia Oil & Gas and marine expertise in the region. The establishment of a local Indonesia company entity is to capture market share and strong foothold in the local industry for both short-term and long-term opportunities for engineering, shipbuilding, ship repair, financial investment for production instrument and production facilities, onshore and offshore engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning services and offshore asset EPCIC projects for floating and fixed platforms with our customers and any other major oil and for business shipbuilding and ship repair from national shipping company which in region of Indonesia. The synergy of joint venture partnership collaboration between these two companies – ASIC representing Malaysia and PT Dok Kodja Bahari (Persero) representing Indonesia shall strengthen the business ties between two countries.

ASIC Synergy Services and Maintenance LLC (ASIC Qatar), a subsidiary of ASIC Group, under the esteemed chairmanship of His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla Nasser A. A. Al-Thani. ASIC Qatar is strategically positioned to undertake and execute projects exclusively for Qatar Gas and Nakilat-Keppel O&M (N-KOM). Notably, ASIC Qatar is committed to extend its specialized expertise across the Middle East, solidifying its role as key player in the execution of repair and maintenance operations, with particular emphasis on activities conducted within industrial plants and shipyards

Mr Jazli Rahimi, Group Managing Director

After graduating from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Degree from RMIT, Mr Mohammad Jazli began his career with Keppel Shipyard as a Piping Engineer. Through his time in Keppel Shipyard in Singapore, he has successfully assisted in delivering multiple Deepwater FPSO’s working closely with major Oil & Gas clients from project start to sail away. Advancement in career opportunities led him to join SBM Offshore in the year 2013 becoming a lead piping engineer in FPSO Marine System Design Team. 

Through his career in SBM, he has done Life Extension projects, FEED Study, FPSO conversion and Project Construction. With a total of more than 5 major FPSO projects undertaken In late 2017, he joined ASIC as a shareholder and Project Director stationed in Kuala Lumpur office bringing together his knowledge and vast experience with multinational clientele from Major Oil & Gas Companies in Offshore and Onshore Projects for both local and international market. He now holds the position of Group Managing Director of ASIC Group of Companies responsible for the overall development and business strategies of ASIC Group. 

Dato’ Farishal, Director (ASIC Offshore & Marine Sdn Bhd)

Dato’ Mohamad Farishal bin Mohamad Rasid is the shareholder and director of ASIC Offshore & Marine Sdn Bhd from April 2021. Graduated from University Putra Malaysia, he has over 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur in various industries from oil & gas, construction, marine to agriculture. He is also currently serving as the board of directors in various companies in Malaysia bringing in his experience and vision to spearhead the companies to greater heights.

Mr Mohd Shaiful Azham, Telecommunications & Special Projects Director ASIC Offshore & Marine Sdn Bhd

Mr Mohd Shaiful Azham Bin Rozali was appointed to the Board on 1 July 2022 as Director of Telecommunications & Special Projects. He is also currently holding the position of Head of UMNO Youth Division Sungai Buloh.

Mr Shaiful is a graduate of Pusat Teknologi Pembelajaran Lanjutan (PTPL) College majoring in Information Technology (IT) Management.

Started his career as an entrepreneur before joining the political scene to follow his father’s footstep. As an entrepreneur, he has actively involved himself in various business ranging from business catering, maintenance contracts, trading to telecommunication. He is now overseeing ASIC’s project management for telecommunication and special projects and has successfully delivered various high profile projects under ASIC.

Mr Errie Tri Rosadi, SE Project Director (PT ASIC Energi Nusantara)

Mr. Errie Tri Rosadi graduated from Management University, Indonesia in 1994 and began this career with Asian Development Bank, Indonesia as Finance Executive in 1994. Throughout his 3 years working experience in the bank, he managed to climb the ladder as Assistant Manager of Finance. In 1998, he got an offer in the World Bank of Indonesia as Finance Manager, despite the economic recession crisis at that point of time. As the subject matter expert for the bank, he has tremendously assisted and supported the bank towards recovery from the 1997-1998 financial crisis. In 2005, he then joined PT Dancom Indonesia as Business Development Manager and gained his business network from here. In 2015, he decided to become an entrepreneur until today. Leveraging on his success in Indonesia, PT ASIC Energi Indonesia invited him on board as a shareholder and Director leading the Indonesia business, specifically in charge of the company marketing and projects for PT ASIC Energi Nusantara. 

Mr Harris Abu Bakar, Director (PT ASIC Energi Nusantara)

Graduated from University of East London with a degree in BA (Hons) Business Studies. Mr. Harris is a Team-oriented leader with deep international experience (12 years of business and project management experience in Indonesia) spanning project management, business development and sales across software, wireless technologies, cyber security, drone technologies and systems. Successfully recruited and led global teams, utilises new technologies, expended into new market segment, structured and negotiated complex managements and agreements as well as coordinating the efforts of various personnel/teams in order to ensure that required tasks can be accomplished. He is the Project Director for Indonesia market overseeing the projects within Indonesia territory. 

Ms Norsha Hidayah Badlishah Managing Director (ASIC Shipping Renewable Sdn Bhd)

Ms Norsha Hidayah Badlishah began her career as a Licensed Financial Planner with over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry providing unbiased viable solutions related to their financial planning. Throughout her career, she has achieved many accreditations, awards and was appointed as Senior Agency Manager in one of Malaysia’s leading investment companies. In 2020, armed with her marketing skills and professional networks in the shipping and oil gas industry, she extended her portfolio into entrepreneurship by starting her own business providing brokerage and vessel chartering service for Offshore Support Vessels (OSV). She is currently responsible for leading ASIC subsidiary – ASIC Shipping and Renewable Sdn Bhd (ASIC SR) for ship management and chartering business. Her portfolio as the Managing Director and shareholder of ASIC SR includes overseeing business sales, business planning and operational performance towards all chartering and renewable energy contracts, entrusted to steer ASIC SR stands at the forefront in providing green energy solutions to meet renewable energy goals through innovative energy solutions.
